There is a very deep philosophical meaning to this amazing dance-robot routine. This is art at its finest. I have been mesmerized and deeply moved. My assessment: -this is a very advanced robot - super genius; can move and walk by itself. Can clean the environment - this is how it has been programmed -for the first time, it develops an understanding to recognise a flower: this is great beauty in an apocalyptic world (the scene is that the entire mankind has died in a Nuclear war, and only robots are surviving). Nuclear war gives devastation for thousands of years. So after all this time, a single flower or single rose has now emerged from Nature: this shows the Power and Strength of Nature. Jurassic Park: “Nature always finds a way” -He picks up this beautiful object, a flower, very delicately and looks at it. When it starts raining, something tells him inside that he must “look after” this very precious life-form that has now emerged. So he places the flower in his safety box in his chest (protected by steel and bullet-proof teflon-Kevlar) -the rain causes a short-circuit: this short-circuit is caused by the flower that is now in his chest: the flower now represents his “heart” - when rain and lightning hit him, this machine, this robot, now becomes alive. He suddenly has a sense of “recognition of self” and looks at his hands with new meaning and awe: Rene Descartes famously stated this as: cogito, ergo sum: “I think, therefore I am.” This is the beginning of self realisation and self actualisation of the intellect. -for a very brief moment, he now has freedom of choice to move and dance, like a beautiful and amazing human being: the dance of an exquisite ballet dancer or acrobat gymnast -However, this experience of “life” is very brief and short-lived. He slowly dies, but in his dying moments, he looks at that magnificent rose that gave him life Metaphor: we are robots. We can only become “alive” when we understand our purpose in Life and why God Created us and put us here. While we are here, we have to use ALL our senses and become “alive” - we need to SEE the beauty in nature (animals, plants, trees, oceans, whales, dolphins, lions, elephants), HEAR the sounds in nature (waterfalls, crickets, birds, thunder), SMELL the fragrances in Nature (flowers, roses, herbs, spices, mint, peppermint), TASTE the delightful foods in nature (fruits, vegetables and so on) and TOUCH everything with kinaesthetic appeal. Only then can we become alive. However, the CORE message is to find someone or something to LOVE. Life is love. Without love, there is no life. Finally, just as the Robot had a very BRIEF experience of Life, so too is our time on Earth very BRIEF, compared to the Eternity in the Hereafter. Lesson: before you die, find out WHO created you, why were you Created and what is YOUR Purpose and mission in life. The LOVE that you embrace here, will be the same love that you will have in Eternity….you will be in the company of those whom you LOVE (like calls to like)….
